| Job Description: |
The Night Porter position is part-time at two nights a week only. Those two nights are Fridays and Saturdays each week.
The Night Porter works from 11pm until either 7am or 8am depending on guest levels.
The Night Porter's responsibilities include:
1. Checking guests in and out and other light computer duties
2. Security of the building overnight including securing locks, floor checks, etc
3. Cleaning duties
4. Setting up the next days conference rooms
5. Early morning room service and minimal food preparation (as sandwiches are available 24 hours)
6. Light bar duties including serving hotel guests
7. Other duties as assigned
8. Responsible for the proper carrying out of procedures during an emergency situation or hotel evacuation
Please note that the Night Porter is the only employee in the building overnight. |
Skills Required:: |
Candidate must be motivated and self-starter; previous experience in hotels or security would be an added benefit; must be fluent in English and have a least minimal computer skills.
candidates must be able to remain calm and in control (such as in an emergency). |
