SGF Global is currently looking for 2 Laboratory Technicians to work for a mayor Engineering and Construction company in Afghanistan.
Job Type: Contract
Duration: One year
Salary Range: $6,500-$9,700 per year
Other benefits: housing, transportation and meals will be provided by the company
Flight transportation and other requirements will be provided by the employer.
Other information:
84 hr work/week: 12 hr a day 7 days a week
Leave cycle: 90 days work, 14 days off (2 of those are for traveling to home country). Travel ticket will be paid by the company.
Requirements:
5 years minimum experience immaterial testing for concrete/asphalt pavement mixes. Qualified applicants must be able to read, write and speak English. Should have computer skill to write reports, to work on excel sheets and to use Microsoft outlook to communicate. Must be able to collect specimens, to perform all required tests and to write test reports for concrete and its components at the laboratory. Tests include: CBR. sieve analysis, specific gravity, plastic index, liquid limit, mix design, flexural strengh and any other related tests. Make recommendations in order to meet required mix gradation of aggregates, additives of concrete/asphalt mix design.
Responsibilities:
• QC Daily report input/Verify RMS database updated
• Verification of activities started, on-going or completed.
• Equipment inspections
• Prepare required test equipment table
• Verify Calibration Certification
• Daily record of as-built conditions
• Verification that CQC testing has been performed
• Record Accident/Safety and Construction deficiencies noted and corrected
• Activity Schedule
• Verification that 3 Phase Inspections conducted satisfactorily
• Verify Contractor RFIs submitted
• Site correspondence
• Tabulate Sample and Testing Summaries
