SGF Global is currently looking for a Quality professional to work for a mayor construction company in Afghanistan.
Job Type: Contract
Duration: One year
housing, transportation and meals will be provided by the company
Flight transportation and other requirements will be provided by the employer.
Other information:
84 hr work/week: 12 hr a day 7 days a week
Leave cycle: 90 days work, 14 days off (2 of those are for traveling to home country). Travel ticket will be paid by the company.
Requirements: Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineer with 2 years experience in airfield paving or Construction Manager with 2 years experience in airfield paving or Technician with 5 years related airfield paving experience. Qualified applicants must be able to read, write, and speak English. Work for Contractor Quality Control System Manager (CQCSM) and to inspect all project activities to ensure comply with the contract specifications, drawings, procedures and Quality Control Plan in his/her area. Must have computer skills on Microsoft word, excel, outlook and Adobe Acrobat to write and create reports and tests, to submit and follow up material submittals. Auto CADD experience desired.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct/assist Civil QC Meetings
• Performs the Civil QC Specialist three phases of control (Preparatory, Initial and Follow-Up Phases).
• Reviews Sub-Contractor’s Civil submittals to assure proper format and content.
• Assures required Civil testing is performed and certifications are provided.
• Conducts and coordinates all Civil Engineering inspections.
• Assist CQCSM with coordinating Civil communications between all sub-contractors and the Contracting Officer as defined in the contract documents
• Coordinates, tracks and proposes resolution to Civil Requests for Information (RFI) for the CQCSM.
