| Job Description: |
Administers all servers of the company (Unix (12), Linux (2), Windows (8), Proxy, Remote Access Servers)
Administers/Implements all software applications of the company (Lotus Notes, Firewall, Anti-Spam, Anti-Virus, BlackBerry, etc)
Responsible for every devices found on the companies Data Center (Main UPS, Precision Aircon, Routers, Switches, etc.)
Supervises the LAN Administrators and Technical Support Staff on the performance of their duties
Evaluates network technologies for potential acquisition and directs evaluation of various hardware and software resources to identify strengths, weaknesses and potential benefits to the company
Provides technical support to the Chairman, President, VP’s, Directors, etc.
Responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of Wide Area and Local Area Network as well as PC hardware and software maintenance and troubleshooting
Makes regular backup schedules and backups of all databases and restores these files when needed.
Manages network security policy. Acts as the primary consultant in network configuration and design
Updates all servers and workstations with the latest security patches, service packs.
Liaises with vendors/contractors/suppliers/providers regarding hardware problems and repairs
Supports/Provides assistance to our users regarding internet problems
Conducts hardware/software seminars for computer users.
Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
