| Job Description: |
Accountable for the Purchasing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and working with the entire Category Supply Chain.
Ø Responsible for implementing the strategies developed by the Global Category Manager and Category Procurement Manager.
Ø Execute effective negotiations for specific raw material commodities.
Ø Responsible for ensuring the supply, cost, quality and service of materials.
Ø Identify and resolve all purchasing related issues for the materials/suppliers associated with the category/division.

Ø Price and price forecast management, critical service/quality issues, market knowledge for his/her geographies, FTG Coordination and reporting, implications of NPD, supply chain tools (SMI, Audits).
Ø Identifying and driving savings for all materials.
Ø Interface with internal corporate technical and functional groups (sales, marketing, finance, technology) to enforce purchasing policies, resolve issues, align service and financial strategies.
Ø Lead continuous improvement programs and/or SMI with suppliers (i.e. Supplier Certification, Continuous Improvement Teams, etc.).
Ø Leverage SAP in day-to-day functions.
Ø Execute efforts in using new “e-tools” (auctions, enterprise buying, etc.) to help drive funding the growth, simplification and standardization programs.
Ø Identifying opportunities as well as risk and future threats to commodity purchases.

Skills Required:: |
Commodity trading expertise with Fats & Oils (coconut oil, palm oil, kernel oil) or oleo based chemicals
Ø B.A./B.S. Degree in a technical or business related discipline
Ø 2-6 years Purchasing or Supply Chain experience in a Consumer Goods company
Ø MBA is desirable
Ø SAP experience is an advantage
Ø Interest in personal and professional improvement by way of training, information sharing, coaching and feedback, appraisals, delegation and implementation of best practices is a plus.
Ø Ability to document understanding of market structure and material/product drivers with risk management overview.
Ø Participation in external purchasing groups and councils.
