| Job Description: |
3x Unix/ Netbackup Administrators required outside Cork City/ Dublin City Centre for a 6-8 week contract - Daily Rates - Immediate Start
The role:
The main duties and responsibilities include:
Internal and external technical break fix issues
Continuous improvement of tools designed to deliver Remote Centre offerings
Analysing and reporting actual to contracted SLA performance levels
Analysing operation for continuous improvement
Reporting monthly to Operations Manager on all defined operational items
Remote management of customer's backup infrastructure and the transition and integration to a remote/ onsite service mix
Experience required:
3 or more years experience working with Veritas Netbackup and Backup exec solutions
3 or more years Systems Administration experience with knowledge of one or more of the following OS - NT, Solaris, AIX, Linux, HP-UX
Experience in Backup/ Restore technologies, policies, and troubleshooting procedures
Experience in Virtual and Physical tape Library technologies and concepts
Working knowledge of 3rd party storage platforms (SAN/ NAS/ CAS) integration/ implementation management an advantage
Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, FC, and GIG-E)
OS programming skills with scripting languages and advantage
ITIL based management knowledge preferred
Knowledge of Systems/ Management Tools such as HP Open View/ CA Unicentre an advantage
History of working in a performance based environment with a strong background in storage and networks architecture, storage management, and technical problem resolution in an SLA based storage environment ideal |
