Fortune 100 company is looking for a consultant to work as a
Senior statistician with a background in econometrics and operations research. The ideal candidate has agent-based modeling/simulation experience with a background in choice modeling.
**Responsibilities include**
Position is responsible for constructing models that describe the market response to marketing activities, optimally allocate marketing dollars, and prescribe actions to efficiently design marketing programs. In addition, the position involves analysis of the operational aspects of marketing programs to make recommendations to improve the effectiveness of those programs and integrates market research findings with operational analysis to broaden and deepen insights into consumer behavior and the impact of marketing programs on that behavior.
Develop and refine a marketing mix optimization model that determines the optimal allocation of budget across marketing programs. Construct statistical and econometric models that describe market dynamics, uncover the explanatory variables that drive the success of marketing programs, relate marketing actions and environmental factors to customer behavior, and increase the efficiency and effectiveness of marketing activity. Develop simulation models for uncovering competitive dynamics, determining the impacts of new product, channel and service offerings, determining the effectiveness of marketing programs on consumer and agent behavior, and the impacts of changes in environmental and regulatory variables on the effectiveness of marketing initiatives. Emphasis on quantitative analysis, econometric methods, multivariate statistical analysis, linear and nonlinear mathematical programming, stochastic programming and simulation. Research areas include, but are not limited to; market response modeling, advertising effectiveness modeling, and optimal allocation of marketing resources, customer lifetime value and retention modeling
