Our client, a renowned Multi-National Corporation (MNC) in software development, is currently engaged in a search for a talented Quality Assurance Localization Engineer.
We are seeking an outgoing, experienced and motivated team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
This position plays a key role in the Enterprise Quality Assurance process, including designing and reviewing test plans, writing test scripts, experience with automated software test tools, setting up testing environments, and executing tests. The QA Engineer works as part of a R&D team to execute established methodologies, provides input into the testing process and provides feedback to the development team regarding ways to improve the overall product. This role also involves analysis of customer issues when needed requiring the candidate to demonstrate a willingness to adapt to meet project and customer demands.
Primary roles and responsibilities
· Localization Engineer able to work in Japanese and fluent in Japanese required
· Develop Test Strategy and Plan for the applications (eg test approach, identify environment, identify tools, etc)
· Determine the localization criteria; as well as the types of localization testing and the types of monitoring required for each project
· Identify, recommend and establish localization benchmarks for the products and develop quality indexes
· Provides self-direction in response to changes to requirements and specifications and update the test plans and related quality documents accordingly
· Walkthrough the QA Localization Test Cases and Test Plan with the QA Team prior to execution
· Plan, design, development, strategize and execute tests using automated testing tools (SilkTest, SilkPerformer) and/or C++/Java languages.
· Coordinate/Document actual test results, provide status reports and manage and track all issues found related to performance testing from beginning to end
Position Requirements
· Master or excellent Degree in Computer Science, Computer Systems, or Computer Engineering.
· 3+ years QA experience in testing L10n/i18n enterprise software applications including automated testing infrastructure
· Must have significant experience testing client/server and database applications
· Must have experience testing Java based applications both in Windows and Linux environment
· Solid experience with Oracle and SQL databases
· Strong QA Skills on planning, bug isolation, bug report writing and troubleshooting
· Experience with Automation, VMWare, and automation tools such as SilkTest, SilkPerformer, Winrunner etc.
Understanding of change management and requirements management
Proficient at writing technical publications.
Native-level language skill in understanding Japanese language is preferred.
