Intern- Audio
Responsibilities:
Audio Department Intern will support product development activities of the Audio Department and Recording Studio.
Opportunities include: The intern will have an opportunity to support all aspects of voice audio recording & production.
Training for a position as an assistant engineer, sitting in on sessions, learning from experienced engineers, gain experience in a real studio environment, eventually assisting on sessions and even engineering sessions as well as other increased responsibilities based on skill level and abilities.
Observing sessions with top major artists and producers, improving skills, working with high-end equipment, possible long-term employment.
Duties include:
General studio assistance including cd duplication, ftp up/downloads, editing sessions, mp3 emailing, cd labeling, filing, archiving, setting up & breaking down for sessions as well as other responsibilities as needed.

Requirements:
The intern should be a Music or Audio Engineering major.
Knowledge of studio equipment and understanding computer file and folder hierarchy is a must.
Music and Digital Audio theory are extremely important.
Experience with Audio software such as Digidesign Pro-Tools and Sound Forge preferred.
Strong comprehension of the English language
SCHEDULE: flexible. The schedule is usually 4 to 5 days per week, all day.
LENGTH: The internship lasts minimum 3 months, with a possible extension of up to 6 months. |
