| Job Description: |
The Utilities Engineer (UE) performs technical engineering work to develop recommendations and regulations, examine proposed utility projects, and analyze complex, controversial issues in the energy, and water areas. Engineers may work independently, as part of a team of engineers, or as part of a multi-disciplinary task force consisting of engineers, accountants, regulatory analysts, and/or attorneys. The incumbent may be required to travel on a frequent basis, including overnight stays, and on occasion will be required to work unusual hours. Engineers work in the following areas: Industry Divisions (Energy, Telecommunications, Water, Rail Safety and Carriers), Office of Ratepayer Advocates, Consumer Services Division, and Division of Strategic Planning.

Skills Required:: |
Individuals with a Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering are encouraged to apply. All interested individuals will be required to submit a comprehensive list of completed coursework.
Applicants must have an ability and desire to perform a wide variety of tasks in a team setting, as well as work independently on individual assignments. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential. Research and statistical skills and knowledge of computers and software systems are highly desirable.
