| Job Description: |
Do you have a passion for wilderness, wild waters and wildlife? We are seeking qualified staff members to join our telephone outreach program to help us protect Washington's wild lands, waters and wildlife.
Founded in 1979, Washington Wilderness Coalition is an innovative group open to new ideas and ways of reaching out to people to help protect our wild forests.
We offer a strong base wage, performance incentives, employer paid medical, dental and vision benefits, paid vacation, sick leave and holidays. This is a full-time position (32 hrs). Regular working hours are Saturday , 1:00 - 7:00 pm and Monday - Thursday, 3:30 - 9:30 pm. |
| Skills Required: |
* A passion for protecting Washington's wild lands and waters, and wildlife.
* Able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
* Able to communicate complex issues in a clear, compelling manner both verbally and in writing.
* Must be able to perform all essential functions of the job.
* Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
* Should have an engaging phone voice and be persuasive and respectful.
* Good time management skills.
* Basic computer and internet skills.
* Prior outreach experience working for an environmental or conservation organization is not necessary, but is highly desireable. |
