| Job Description: |
UMTS Engineer is responsible for the optimization of UMTS/HSDPA network. He/she should be able to demonstrate initiatives and contributes in the resolution of a problem. The following is the required competence level: UMTS RF network optimization/performance activities. RAN tuning and Final Acceptance for UMTS network. Experience with Parameter tuning of UMTS system. Data analysis on problem areas such as drop call, missing neighbor analysis, call setup failure and inter-RAT handover failure by analysing layer messages on log files and RNC trace log files to improve network performance. Tune Inter-Radio Access Technology (IRAT) 3G-2G Handover and vice versa, neighbor relation to improve accessibility and retainability for voice, video and packet services. Main KPI's statistic monitoring, maintaining and improving network statistics to meet KPI's such as RRC Success Rate, RAB Success Rate, CS and PS Drop Rate and Inter RAT Success Rate. Protocol structure, logical and transport channels; physical channels, spreading, multirate schemes and packet data - Ec/Io, path balance coverage, cell loading, Eb/No analysis, and other Monte Carlo simulation analysis. UMTS pre-and post optimization tuning. UMTS HSDPA application and technology layer drop/block call analysis. Analysis of UMTS/GSM drive data for 3G dropped call/set-up fails. Parameter modifications like neighbor list for 3G-3G, 3G-2G and vice versa HO. Experience in Actix Spotlight/Analyzer. Knowledge of UETR and GPEH. Familiar with MOSHELL and OSS-RC scriptings. |
