| Job Description: |
Planning, design, and furnishing of interior wood environments, custom made and fitted furniture of residential and commercial buildings; coordinate and direct projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities; confer with client(s) to determine architectural and/or design preferences, purpose and function of environment, budget, types of construction, accessories to be installed, and other factors which affect planning interior or exterior wooden finishes or ancillary furniture; analyze technology, resource needs, and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects; integrate findings with knowledge of interior design and formulates environmental plan to be practical, esthetic, and conducive to intended purposes; advise client(s) on interior design factors such as space planning, layout and utilization of furnishings and equipment, color schemes, and color coordination; submit project design ideas in form of paste ups, drawings, or illustrations including estimates for materials to our project coordinator, further, present design to client for approval; select or design and purchase woods (native, imported, exotic, or wood substitutes) furnishings, art works, and accessories; prepare budgets, bids, and contracts, and direct the negotiation of research contracts; subcontract -under the authority of the project coordinator -fabrication, installation, and arrangement of carpeting, fixtures, accessories, draperies, paint and wall coverings, art work, furniture, and related items; direct, review, and approve product design and changes; plan and design custom wood furniture for hotels, motels, schools, entertainment facilities, boats, planes, buses, trains, and other enclosed spaces, and/or as contracted by the company. |
