| Job Description: |
Position Summary:
This exciting leadership role will be responsible for providing daily leadership to a team of sales professionals, generating new business, and managing customer relationships for hospitality point-of-sale software, hardware, and services. The Director of Sales must be able to manage and perform assigned tasks effectively, communicate and act professionally within workplace and with clients, and maintain knowledge of existing and anticipated point-of-sale software, hardware, and services.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide daily leadership, motivation, and supervision to a team of sales professionals by providing training, mentoring, and oversight of strategic selling disciplines.
• Develop and implement strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.
• Maintain performance standards and set goals to realize Company objectives
• Strive to meet and exceed pre-determined sales goals
• Provide quarterly results assessments of sales staff's productivity and quota attainment as well as be skilled in accurately forecasting annual, quarterly and monthly revenue stream
• Develop lasting relationships with customers in order to maximize revenues for the company.
• Understand and articulate information regarding highly technical leading edge products & services
• Prepare detailed proposals that include hardware, software, and services in order to meet or exceed monthly and annual sales and revenue objectives
• Represent the company at industry events (i.e. association meetings, trade shows, conferences etc)
Compensation:
• $50,000-$60,000 base salary commensurate with experience/qualifications
• High sales commission in addition to base salary

| Skills Required: |
Required Skills/Experience:
• Minimum of 4 years experience selling business application software to hospitality industry or like industry
• Associates or Bachelors degree in business, hospitality, or technical field
• Strong consultative selling, listening, and writing skills. Ability to understand client needs and demonstrate impact, value and return on investment
• Relationship–Building Skills: Building and perpetuating profitable business partnerships and relationships, which promote long-term success.
• Proven Closing Skills: Demonstrated record of consistently meeting and exceeding annual sales quotas.
• Executive Presence: Outstanding communication and presentation skills. Comfortable presenting with conviction to senior financial executives.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows products: XP, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Some travel and Evening or Weekend schedules may be required
• Applicant must reside in the metropolitan New York City area
