| Job Description: |
Purpose of Job
To carry out commissioning activities for the project teams of all BP Major Projects, carried out in the MCY Yard as well as onshore and offshore locations thereby ensuring a safe and timely start up of the new facilities in line with company standards and specifications.
Principal accountabilities
- Compilation of commissioning workpacks using design and vendor documentation.
- Work with the construction teams to develop an integrated construction/commissioning plan.
- Maintenance of check sheet and punchlist tracking database.
- Support the project teams in preparation for construction and commissioning.
- Support the project teams in implementing Flawless Project Delivery.
- To monitor the construction activities and provide assistance to the team to resolve problems.
- Witness pre-commissioning tests carried out by vendors and contractors to ensure compliance with standards.
- Carry out control and automation commissioning activities for major projects in various onshore and offshore locations.
- Ensure timely compilation of handover documentation.

Skills Required:: |
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum 5 years (preferably 10) experience in the field of construction and commissioning of modern control and automation systems including foundation fieldbus technology and petrochemical measurement and control installations
Preferred
- HND (electronics engineering) or equivalent
- Experience of design of petrolchemical electrical installations
- Knowledge of requirements for hazardous area equipment
Competence Required
- Experience
Has proven interpersonal skills associated with supervising a multidiscipline work force.
Knowledge on operations, commissioning, construction standards, procedures and QA/QC.
