| Job Description: |
An award-winning concept-driven hospitality design firm seeks a talented Senior Interior Designer that is a graduate of an accredited Masters or Bachelor of Architecture or Interior Design program and has a minimum of 8 years experience in the hospitality design industry. The Senior Designer will take a key leadership role and will mentor a team of 6 interior designers and will grow our existing Interiors/FF&E Department. Project focus will be on large-scale hotels, casinos and cruise ships.
This position will require you to take a key leadership role on a project team with the Studio Director, Project Manager(s), Designers and Junior Designers to bring a project from concept to completion. Responsibilities include leading interiors specifications portion of projects including sourcing and schedule coordination for a project and organizing and producing commercial grade FF&E and architectural specification packages. You will clearly communicate design ideas through freehand sketching and rendering, compile a set of interior design documents which include, but are not limited to, material specifications, furniture design and specifications and millwork details. Applicant should be a self-starter, creative and have the ability to multi-task between different projects. You will be required to express your ideas both visually and verbally. The nature of this job will require non-traditional hours and travel.
