General Manager (Construction)
Our client, a prestigious construction company in UAE, is looking for a high caliber General Manager - Construction for their mega projects in UAE.
Reporting to the Vice President, the GM will lead the process of building high rise construction in the assigned area / region as agreed upon with the customer with in the given parameters of cost, quality and time.
Key Performance Areas:-
1. To manage the overall activities of various projects in the assigned area, by ensuring that the agreed KPIs such as time, cost and quality standards are met on continuous basis.
2. To coordinate and integrate the functions of relevant departments to continuously enable construction at site.
3. To be responsible for the smooth working of Engineering Division of the organization, right from mobilization, commencement of Project, construction process, handing over the project to the client, considering the aspects of quality, cost and safety.
4. To coordinate with the consultant, client, structural consultants and other appointed consultants for the drawings required for the project, revisions, projects, problems if any on site.
5. To ensure the economy of operation on continuous basis by strictly adhering to cost & planning management, value addition, and system implementation.
6. To continuously communicate with the Project Manager/ Project Directors and check the progress of the projects. To provide timely decisions on matters which are pertinent to the site work.
7. Advice the management on new ideas, developments, economy etc. and manages practical implementation of such ideas through zone/ projects in charges.

| Skills Required: |
Qualifications:
1. Must be UK-educated; Graduate or Postgraduate in Civil Engineering along with a Masters in Business Administration / Management would be an added advantage
2. Must have excellent project management skills.
3. Must be adept in all or most of project management techniques with relevance to building construction.
4. Must have excellent verbal & written communication skills; good interpersonal and leadership skills.
5. Must have worked in a similar capacity in a construction or general contracting company managing multiple high rise projects at a time.
6. An ideal match would be a person with around 15 years of experience in a similar capacity in U.A.E or G.C.C. countries.
