Purpose of the job
- Scope
To provide active support to projects in the execution/construction phase by planning and co-ordinating activities, resolving queries on technical issues in the scope of work. Carry out electrical design for projects in various execution stages.
Brunei Liquefied Natural Gas Sdn. Bhd. (BLNG), is one of the oldest and most established LNG plants worldwide. It has an annual Opex/Capex outlay of around US$ 100 million.
The incumbent will be involved / responsible for a variety of electrical oriented projects, such as:
- Replacement and installation of electrical emergency generators
- Replacement of rectifiers / UPS-units
- Replacement of air-conditioning- Upgrade security fence lighting
Principal tasks & responsibilities
The incumbent is accountable for the development of projects assigned, including:
- Planning of activities and co-ordinating input of all Functions.
- Resolving queries on technical issues in the scope of work.
- Carry out electrical design to meet BLNG project performance targets
- HSE aspects.
- Project management and execution.
- Carry out feasibility studies and prepare project development plans
Contribute in the area’s of planning, costs and technical matters during meetings with all stake holders.
To take an active role in mentoring / coaching local staff.

Required
- HND / BSc qualification or equivalent experience in electrical engineering
Competence Required
Experience
- At least 5 years experience in electrical project, construction or maintenance activities
- Able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing
- Good communication skills and an aptitude for taking initiatives are essentials, as is the ability to work in a multi
