| Job Description: |
Client Solutions wishes to recruit an experienced Software Testing Lead to establish a dedicated Test/QA practice to support its growing Applications Development Division which incorporates teams in Dublin and Cork.
The role will be based in Dublin but may involve some travel to Cork to liaise with the teams there. The Applications Division develops bespoke software applications primarily in MS .NET, SQL Server, JAVA and Oracle for its clients across a broad range of public and private sector industries.
Responsibilities
Your core responsibilities will include:
• Working with Development Team Leads and the Division Manager to establish standards and processes for the Testing practice in line with the requirements of the division.
• Maintaining and optimising those standards and processes and supporting project adherence.
• Training and mentoring of test resources.
• Acting as Test Lead on projects:
a. Producing test strategy and estimates for input to project planning.
b. Reviewing and providing feedback on business requirements and design specifications.
c. Management and participation in a fully integrated test lifecycle from planning, through test case development, execution, issue tracking, reporting and metrics analysis.
d. Support of clients in the User Acceptance Testing phase.
Experience
You should have at least 5 years experience working in Software Testing with preferably 2+ years in a Team Lead capacity. Your experience should include:
• Planning and execution of the full test lifecycle including system, integration, regression and acceptance testing for a range of software development technologies and business domains.
• Team leading, mentoring and delegation.
• Deep understanding of test methodologies and best QA practices.
• Working in MS.NET and/or Java environments.
• Experience of test automation and performance/stress testing would be preferable.

• Knowledge of SQL and DBMS technology.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office suite. |
