Description:
The DBE will be responsible for designing, instantiating, maintenance, and tuning of a database system that provides for long-term storage and analysis of source data.
Required Skills & Experience:
- The Database Engineer (DBE) shall have the following minimum key skills:
- At least 5 years experience designing Oracle databases to satisfy program requirements
- Database optimization, tuning, and indexing strategies
- Database backup and recovery procedures
- Experience performing database installation (Oracle universal installation and silent installation)
- Expertise with Standard Query Language (SQL) and complex query optimization
- Strong UNIX user and system command knowledge
- Experience interfacing with application developers
- Domain knowledge of the customer
In addition, the following skills are highly desirable:
- Familiarity with Linux user and system commands
- Java development experience
-Geo-spatial experience (Oracle row label security experience ).
