| Job Description: |
Territory Manager responsibilities are to detail Amylin products to physicians, pharmacy, Certified Diabetes Educators, managed care organizations, other health care providers and influencers of healthcare providers.
The Territory Manager is responsible for the attainment of sales goals within their geographic territory while maintaining expense budgets as set by management. He/she will provide market information to their fellow representatives, their managers and to Amylin corporate staff to help shape strategy and policy decisions. Will make clinically accurate presentations of Amylin products to designated physician audiences in accordance with the prescribed call cycle using consultative selling skills, strong listening skills, product knowledge awareness, and use of promotional materials. Sales calls must include substantial pre-call planning and post-call analysis and notes. Works to influence prescribing habits of physicians and other prescribers and influencers of prescribing activity regarding the use of Amylin products where appropriate. Maintains knowledge of and acts in full compliance with PDMA regulation. |
| Skills Required: |
BS/BA with at least 2 years sales experience in the pharmaceutical or bio-pharmaceutical industry. Experience in diabetes preferred. To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient with Microsoft Office word processing, email, presentation, and spreadsheet software, Contact software, and use of laptop computers. A valid driver’s license is required and must be maintained. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to travel up to 100% of the time. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. |
