Responsibilities
• Ensure high quality of the Symantec Mail Security product line
• Work with Development and Product Management engineers to design testable solutions for Symantec Mail Security integration with LDAP
• Ensure Symantec Mail Security supports various LDAP Directories
• Ensure high performance, availability and scalability of Symantec Mail Security
• Develop, prioritize and execute functional, compatibility, performance tests
• Develop test automation and tools
• Deploy and monitor the product on QA and staging environments
• Assist tech support with customer issues
• Work with information developers on installation guides and other documentation
Qualifications
• In depth understanding of LDAP protocol and Directory functions and configurations
• Strong System Admin experience with LDAP Directories such as Active Directory, Domino, Sun ONE, OpenLDAP
• 5+ years industry experience
• Perl, Python or Java knowledge is highly desirable
• Understanding of TCP/IP and client/server architecture
• Unix System Admin experience including shell scripting
• Understanding of software development and release lifecycle, source management
• Self-starter, ability to work with little supervision in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to simultaneously handle different projects and activities
• Ability to complete highly detailed tasks with strict attention to quality
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or equivalent work experience
