Job Description:
Review applications for INDIVIDUAL life insurance and access risk with regard to medical and non-medical aspects, financial guidelines and insurable interest.
Authority Limit up to $4,000,000
Develop and maintain sound relationships with all members of the field force.
May handle complex cases with multiple risk factors
Attend industry and in-house seminars to enhance risk selection skills. |
Skills Required:: |
Job Requirements:
Bachelors degree or equivalent INDIVIDUAL life underwriting work experience
Industry coursework (FLMI, FALU, CLU, ChFC)
Familiarity with Anatomy, Physiology, Pharmacology, medical impairments, and associated terminology including test results and EKG interpretations
Understanding of non-medical risks (occupations, aviation, avocations, driving, foreign travel)
Financial and business Underwriting experience
Comprehension of Sales concepts
Knowledge of current events and industry trends
Familiarity with contact, agency, and privacy protection laws and Medical Information Bureau rules and regulations
Experience with Reinsurance practices and procedures
Strong interpersonal relationships including communication skills and analytical and decision making skills
Ability to sell adverse decisions and negotiate
Ability to handle complex cases with multiple risk factors
