We are currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst for the Pearson Math & AW Economics group.
This person assists the Business Manager in the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts and pipeline reviews, including presentation exhibits and binders; execution of expense controls and ensure company compliance to policies and procedures; in preparation and monthly distribution of financial reports; in monthly and year end close activities. Other duties include, but are not limited to: processing invoices and overseeing payment/problem resolution; preparing and processing journal entries; compiling title-by-title forecasts and in conjunction with Editorial, ensure the accuracy and integrity of data is flowing out to other systems; file and track FEDS forms and freelancer agreements, office expenses, delivery services; prepare various ad hoc reports and undertake special projects as needed.

Skills Required:: |
Bachelor's degree (in Publishing/Accounting/Finance preferred). Two to three years of related publishing, accounting and finance experience, good communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work with different levels of management. Strong work ethic, analytical, professional presence, hands on approach, collaborative. Strong PC skills, high proficiency in Excel, Office, Hyperion, Business Objects and SAP or Peoplesoft or Oracle (database experience a plus)
