Our client, a reputable group of companies in Abu Dhabi and heavily involved in contracting, engineering, building material manufacturing and real estate, are seeking to recruit highly accomplished professional civil engineer to head the Construction company of the group.
Reporting to the CEO, the biggest challenge in this senior role would be imparting requisite management expertise and direction to the company’s dynamic engineering function. It will be your responsibility to manage the overall engineering works, including building works (high rise, medium and low), construction works, infrastructure, utilities works, and PMC coordination. You must provide first-rate support to core operations by ensuring that works are completed timely and effectively through productive and cost efficient means. You will plan and set goals, as well as develop, lead, and review the plans/ design drawings/ projects/ equipments and any other complex engineering inputs provided by the professional & technical staff, PM Company, consultants, and/ or contractors.

Skills Required:: |
This is a highly visible role and will require someone with superb engineering management and leadership skills. As the ideal candidate, you must have a Civil Engineering degree from an international reputed university and have at least 20 years hands-on technical expertise with proven ability of managing a strong and diverse engineering workforce. An analytical decision maker, you must also have strong technical orientation, commercial acumen, excellent project & time management skills, and the ability to perform well under pressure. You must have a Master’s degree in Engineering with proficiency in technical software such as CAD and Primavera. Knowledge of UAE local statutes, ordinances and regulations, including international codes & standards, is essential for the position.
