| Job Description: |
The Project Engineer (Industrial) is accountable for developing and implementing terminal designs that are conductive to optimized operations, across all container terminals operated by Transnet Port Terminals. The incumbent will be responsible for analysing all aspects of operations and simulating various scenarios to determine the highest possible performance. The job will entail investigations of operational inter-dependencies and associated processes with a view of eradicating short-comings. A continuous benchmarking exercise against international operators will form part of the job as a method for determining targets and measuring success. |
| Skills Required: |
Engineering degree (Industrial) with professional registration. (B.Sc. Eng or B.Eng)
Experience 10 years engineering of which 5 must be in optimising processes
Container Strategy, Container Strategy expansion plan, Container terminals operations plan, Container terminals throughput relative to installed capacity
