Urgently needed: voluntary English teachers in Ayacucho, Peru.
Centro de Idiomas Los Cachorros is a language school situated in Ayacucho, Peru. The school is a charitable foundation, and all profits from the school are donated to various projects in Ayacucho. The objective of these projects is to improve the lives of children and adolescents in need.
You will be teaching English to one or more classes of a maximum of 20 Peruvians aged 16 and older, and/or to groups of children aged 10 to 16. Some of the childres do not pay for their classes, they are selected from families in need.
We ask that you are available for a period of 4 months minimum and that you work at least 28 hours per week.
We offer housing for only S/100 (about 35 dollars) a month and before starting teaching, you can learn Spanish in our school (at discount rate) and live with a Peruvian family. You will have a wonderful opportunity to live in another culture and to make a difference to the life of a child!

Skills Required:: |
We ask that you are a fluent speaker of English with some basic knowledge of Spanish, or either that you are willing to follow intensive classes in our school for at least a month prior to teaching.
Teaching experience is also required, not necessarily teaching English. |
