| Job Description: |
Designs and directs activities associated with products by performing the following duties. Your Duties include:
• Analyzes product or equipment specifications and performance requirements to determine designs which can be produced by existing manufacturing or processing facilities and methods.
• Determines feasibility of designing new products or modifying existing products considering costs manufacturing capability, and other technical and economic factors.
• Reviews product design for compliance with engineering principals, company standards, customer requirements, and related specifications.
• Provides technical information concerning manufacturing techniques, materials, properties, and process advantages and limitations which affect plant and product engineering planning.
• Confers with proper personnel to clarify or resolve problems and develops designs.
• Evaluates and approves design changes, specifications, and drawing releases.
• Prepares or directs preparation of product and detailed drawings and schematics.
• Directs and coordinates manufacturing of prototype product.
• Complies and analyzes operational, test, and research data to establish performance standards for newly designed or modified product.
• Plans and develops experimental test programs.
• Analyzes test data and reports to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications.
• Confers with engineering personnel and prepares design modifications as required.

Skills Required:: |
Requirements
**Must have a four year mechanical engineering degree.**Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of mangers, clients, and customers. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
