| Job Description: |
Inspects castings for dimensional accuracy and surface defects by performing the following duties.
• Verifies specified dimensions of product or material.
• Examines casting for defects such as cracks and porosity.
• Rejects and identifies nonconforming product or material.
• Records and maintains results of inspections.
The employee frequently is required to stand, walk; sit, reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud from machinery noise.

Requirements
Must either have high school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training. Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using while numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. Also need to know calibers and micrometers.
