| Job Description: |
Responsible for the Bugan project through the Define and Execute phase i.e. from VAR3 until first oil. On the facility engineering side this covers the development of the Basis of Design, the Front End Design, Detailed design, procurement of Long Leads, fabrication, installation and commissioning. In addition to the Facility Engineering responsibilities the Project lead is responsible for managing and integrating any further Subsurface scope that was not concluded at VAR3, the well engineering scope and the interface with Operations. The requirement to manage this wide range of scope and interfaces is the agreed modus operandi for major projects in BSP and is a significant change to the execution of previous projects.
The incumbent is responsible for supporting the development of the Basis of Design
Responsible for supporting the FEED and Detailed Design
Responsible for supporting procurement of long leads, fabrication, installation and commissioning of the brown field facilities and modifications on Champion/ID (B$50-75 million).
Responsible for managing some of the interfaces for the Bugan project (Subsurface disciplines, well engineering, operations, HSE, SEN, contractors etc.)
Liaise with all concerned to ensure the smooth execution of the projects, particularly the timely provision of accurate data for long term resource planning and short term scheduling such as RAP, IPP.
As CSR for some Bugan Green Field contracts. Ensure all contracts are properly managed and that value for money is obtained. Develop contract strategies and obtained all necessary TB approvals.
Keep management, PU, clients and other departments fully advised of project status.

Skills Required:: |
Degree in relevant engineering discipline
Preferably of Chartered Engineer status or equivalent with good knowledge in multi- discipline engineering.
Experience
A qualified discipline/project engineer with a minimum of 5 years experience in oil and gas related work design, construction, commissioning and Project Management.
Training
Multi-discipline engineering knowledge. (Mainly Process, Instrument, Mechanical Engineering).
Good leadership and negotiating skills are necessary to balance the conflicting priorities of the project team, and contractors, to produce solution in the best overall interest of BSP.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Special Abilities
The incumbent should be capable of working under considerable pressure whilst maintaining the ability to plan, co-ordinate, motivate and direct staff.
Full understanding of HSE management principles and their applications in BSP.
Working knowledge of all relevant BSP HSE regulations including procedures, guidelines and work instructions.
