Purpose of Job
To manage all activities carried out by the MPM Installation Contractor, ensuring effective use of resources and compliance with BSP's marine, construction and HSE practices.
Principal accountabilities
Ensure that the contractor’s manage its offshore resources to carry execute the work efficiently and safely in accordance with procedures;
Ensure that the Contractors carry out the work to contractual specifications.
Ensure emergency procedures are in place, drills are regularly conducted, and carry out accident investigations;
Review the contractor's personnel, equipment and all other resources to ensure the contractor is fulfilling their contractual obligations;
Ensure that the contractor maintains high safety standards, and company safety requirements are met;
Ensure the contractors maintain logs, reports and certification for the work performed, their equipment and personnel;
Establish a control and administration system on site for recording of data, quality and control, and contractual documentation.
Feedback of Constructability to the design & project teams.

| Skills Required: |
Qualifications Required
Minimum 10 years experience in the field of offshore construction, supervising a multi-discipline work force engaged in (offshore) fabrication/maintenance and offshore installation in marine operations.
Preferred
HND (Mechanical) and equivalent Marine Operations experience.
Competence Required
Experience
Has proven interpersonal skills associated with managing an (offshore) construction work force. Some operation experience offshore. Knowledge on fabrication standards, procedures, scaffolding, QA/QC and marine operations.
Training ISM and PTW
Special Abilities
Have a comprehensive knowledge of all relevant codes of practices including but not limiting to welding, pipe-fitting, paint application, piping classes, etc..;
• Be fully conversant with rigging and slinging, and scaffolding techniques;
• Has the ability to fully comprehend P & ID's and isometrics;
• Is fully familiar with the preparation of paint coating;
• Is fully familiar with QA/QC objectives and the methods employed to ensure fit for purpose;
