Job Summary
Job Functions and Authorities
1. Assessment and analysis of the risks for acceptance.
2. Compliance with all local and Head Office underwriting procedures and guidelines
3. Carry out risk site visits as and when necessary
4. Decide appropriate rating and terms and conditions in accordance with underwriting procedures and guidelines
5. Approval of policies and signing of documentation as per underwriting authority provided
6. Conduct internal audit processes as defined and required
7. Manage relationships with external contacts including, but not limited to: customers, brokers, co-insurance and reinsurance providers as necessary and appropriate
8. Assist Manager, Underwriting in activities including, but not limited to: new and existing product development; sales literature; defining operational procedures
9. File management of Underwriting correspondence
10. Providing management with statistical analysis, input to regular or ad-hoc reports as defined and required
11. Assist with and provide training for junior underwriting staff
12. Keep up-to-date with technical developments
13. Contribute to ongoing systems development
14. Maintain underwriting quote register
15. Support ‘Field UW’ works and BD activities
16. Other necessary tasks as defined by Manager, Underwriting or General Manager
Reporting to : Manager, Underwriting

Skills Required:: |
Coordination with : All other departments in the company & TMNF HO and London Office.
Qualification for Position :
1. University Degree
2. ACII/AIII or significant progress towards
3. More than 5 years of experience in the insurance industry
