Our client is a dynamic and fast growing manufacturer for the Pharma and Biotech industry and is currently looking for a Managing Director in Bangkok (Thailand) to further grow the business in the region. The organisation develops and produces mass-produced products, equipment, customised installations and turnkey projects for pharmaceutical and laboratory use. With headquarters in Spain, the corporation consists of a solid group of companies which has a consolidated turnover of approximately 100 million Euro, exporting 60% of its sales to companies around the world. It employs 650 employees, of which the majority have a university degree. Their aim is to develop high-quality technological solutions which respond to the specific needs of their customers in the specific markets, and bring mutual benefits to all parties.
Functions:
- As a Member of the Board of Directors, but also as the Senior Manager the main responsibilities will be:
- Report to the Board of Directors on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, annual basis
- Lead the company in its further growth in the region
- Develop and implement the annual budget and strategic plan for the region in the most cost effective and time efficient manner and increasing profitability and company profile
- Team responsibility and day-to-day operations
- Work with Headquarters (SSI Business Development Director) and 3rd party contractors to improve demand forecasting processes and new country launches
- Prepare Annual Demand Plan as a basis for commercial discussions
- Manage planning and support overall activities for timely roll out in new country or for new products and projects
- Liaise directly with materials and packaging suppliers to identify options and secure timely and lowest cost suppliers. |
| Skills Required: |
Requirements:
- University and/or Engineering degree, MBA positively evaluated
- Minimum 5 - 7 years Executive Experience in similar position in the functions previously described
- Minimum 5 years Pharma and Biotech Project Management Experience
- Preferably with experience abroad
- Imperative: Fluent written and spoken Thai and English. Spanish positively evaluated
- Broad understanding of different management areas including finance, marketing and communication, strategic planning, human resources and information technology
- Knowledge of company law and other legislation relevant to the area of business
- Management skills: Strong leadership and vision, Result oriented, People Management, Communication
- Commercial skills: client orientation with strong service ethos, negotiation and analytical skills |
