| Job Description: |
Scientific Researcher, specialising in Numeric Simulation
The Saint-Gobain European Research and Engineering Centre (CREE) was established in 2001 in Cavaillon, (Vaucluse, France) and is part of the High Performance Materials sector within the Saint-Gobain group. CREE is one of the three largest research centres among the 15 laboratories worldwide within the Saint-Gobain group. The research teams work on innovative products and production processes, from exploratory research through to the demonstration of technical and commercial feasibility. You will meet a variety of multi-cultural specialists who are developing cutting-edge expertise in the areas of polymers, ceramics, electro-chemicals, grains, powders, abrasives and surface sciences.
The scientific numeric simulation department creates models that facilitate experimental testing, enhancing the physical understanding of the materials and the many variables that can impact performance. For example, scientific numeric calculation tests can be carried out using high temperatures, to analyse the deformation of a given material product. This department also co-manages specific transversal projects with the R&D teams in Northboro (US) & Shanghai (China). In order to reinforce this team, Saint-Gobain CREE has created a new position for a Scientific Researcher, specialising in Numeric Simulation (M/F);

• Research all necessary information internally as well as externally to ensure the best end result for the subject in question
• Implement & follow the testing phase or access complementary measures in order to validate the final models
• Produce brief reports on your findings and present these results at specific meetings
