Responsibilities:
• review designs and plans drawn up by an architect or engineer;
• calculating quantities and types of materials to be used and work out timing costs and labor costs involved in the project;
• building contracting use this information to work out their budget and estimate costs;
• ensuring timely progress and budget reports;
• overseeing the progress work and check that costs do not exceed the agreed amount ensure that costs are kept to the agreed amounts;
• organizing tenders from contractors and providing advice to clients on legal and contractual matters; |
Skills Required:: |
Description Of The Ideal Candidate:
Profile:
• University degree in Engineering - construction;
• Advanced (3 years +) experience in quantity surveying;
• Material cost saving experience by revising the project design;
• Fluency in English;
• Good analytical thinking, problem solving and communication skills;
STUDIES: Technical University, Specialization degree in constructions;
Any other technical and management certification is an advantage.
Skills:
• Fluent English, both spoken and written;
• PC literacy (MS Office); have a sound knowledge of building construction techniques and materials;
• budget management skills;
• good IT skills and an aptitude for maths;
• methodical approach to work;
• well organized;
• understand Building Regulations and other relevant legal guidelines;
• excellent communication and negotiating skills;
• able to work as part of a team.
