Senior COST Accountant
Trenton, NJ
Salary $55K - $70K DOE
Responsibilities:
- Review direct material price variances
- Prepare month-end journal entries
- Prepare monthly account reconciliation and analysis
- Perform monthly close for related areas
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting process
- Assist in the development and analysis of standard costs and price out bills of materials
- Lead physical inventory counts
- Analyze costs on an ongoing basis
- Perform various ad-hoc monthly and forecast analysis reports for the Functional Leaders
- Seek out and implement process efficiencies and improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 4-6 years of progressive accounting or finance experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills required
- Demonstrate ability to manage complex projects
- Advanced skills in Excel required
- Must be detail-oriented and deadline sensitive in a fast-paced environment
- High degree of problem solving ability and variance analysis experience required
- Solid inventory and cost accountant knowledge
