This leading Organisation is seeking a Reservoir Engineer.
In this role you will provide technical expertise as part of a team of other technical specialists (reservoir/petroleum engineers), technical assistants and trainee staff in the Operational Reservoir Engineering section (ORE), in the Petroleum Engineering Department (PED).
In this role you will be responsible for the following:
• Provide and develop technical expertise in all areas of reservoir and production engineering related to the exploration, appraisal, development, and production of hydrocarbons
• Monitor and analyse performance of reservoirs, wells and facilities with analytical methods and numerical simulation.
• Identify, propose and pursue options for the following through data gathering, studies and analyses of reservoirs and facilities:
o Improved management of and increased oil recovery from existing field development.
o Optimisation and adjustment of planned field development.
o Maturation of scope reserves.
o Time and cost savings within the development of booked and scope reserves.
• Plan and monitor Operational Reservoir Engineering related operations including onshore and offshore supervision of logging, well testing, stimulation and injection/production well optimization.
• Improve existing and participate in developing new methods and technologies to:
o Reduce operating and development costs.
o Increase oil recovery.
o Improve work efficiency.
• Take part in strong interdisciplinary cooperation both intra- and interdepartmentally.
• Prepare input for and/or author Company and/or Petroleum Engineering related reports and documentation at all levels (individual wells, patterns, reservoir scale).
• Ensure efficient flow of communication within the team.

Education and Experience (minimum and desirable):
• Formal engineering education (B.Sc. level or higher).
• Minimum 3 years experience in the upstream oil & gas industry.
Skill set/Competences (minimum and desirable):
• Team player showing individual initiative, responsibility and integrity.
• Well developed interpersonal and English communication skills - verbal and written.
• Well developed reporting and presentation skills.
• Well developed analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Solid background/experience in classic reservoir and/or production engineering.
• Proficient in:
o Black oil reservoir simulation - preferably Eclipse and related software.
o Nodal Analysis - preferably PETEX software.
o Pressure transient analysis - preferably Kappa software.
o Programming skills (VBA) may be an advantage.
o Comfortable with both ad-hoc tasks and working under time-pressure.
