| Job Description: |
To supervise the manufactuirng, loading and shipping of all orders to meet adn exceed teh customers' quality adn delivery expectations, while maintaining estabilishe safety and cost standards. The Production Supervisor is the first-line liaison betweeen hourly production employees adn the management staff, and thus represents the company's view adn interested to the shop floor staff.
Responsibilites Include but are not limited to:
Supervise warehosue adn delivery employees; plan work schedules (overtime, etc.), conduct performance adn salary reviews, provide feedback adn overall guidance, administer discipline, develop strategies for performance and productivity imporvement, manage payroll, and schedule time off.
Ensure personnel have appropriate training, work instruction and tools to successfully perfomr their duties.
Justify and request new personnel, interview and evaluate prospective employees; plan and coordinate training for new and existing employees for hte purpose of development and cross traing.

| Skills Required: |
Prior Experience: 3 years of experience in a steel service center warehouse enviroment, production metal working or manufacturing enviroment.
Special Skill: interpersonal skills, judgement and decision making, developing group cooperation adn teamwork, coping with difficulties and emergencies, promting safety attitude and practices, high degree of organizaiton skills
Additional skills:
Must have good understanding of Lean Mfg., JIT, Kanban, demand flow technology, 5S Methodology adn ISO 9001.
Education: 2 to 4 year college degree |
