Reporting Line: Reports to the Executive Director
Position Introduction: The Associate Director, in collaboration with the Executive Director and Senior Associate Director, contributes to the technical direction, effectiveness and delivery of both internal and external information systems, both web based and off-line strategies. The Associate Director also shares responsibility with other staff in providing Commission meeting support, policies/procedures development, and in performing program service functions for assigned programs, including school reviews, program consultation, site visitor support, and program workshops.
Duties
Develop, manage and implement ACAOM technological applications, including databases and web based systems.
Provide primary support relative to ACAOM technology needs; research; technology/equipment for state of the art services.
Contribute to the design, development and deployment of new online technologies and databases into the web and office environment; assess existing technologies to ensure the usability with current standards and trends.
Implement universal standards in programming and design in the development of web strategies and information systems and coordinate the work of outside technological consultants.
Maintain current databases and provide recommendations to improve effectiveness and functionality.
Provide technical training and support for ACAOM staff.
Provide oversight for web site management and provide recommendations to improve effectiveness and functionality.
Assist in the development and implementation of effective structures for organizing and carrying out the responsibilities related to the office with a particular focus on technological applications.
Assist in the preparation of presentations, research projects, report and the delivery of information.
Provide technical support to programs throughout the accreditation process on assigned programs and conducting consultative site visits to such programs.
Engage in school reviews for assigned programs, process complaints against accredited and candidate programs, implement Commission Review Committee decisions on program substantive change reports, assist Commission Review Committees in providing guidance to the Commission regarding school review deliberations.
Provide support for the site visit process for assigned programs in collaboration with other staff (program and site visit team instruction letters regarding pending visits), serving as a resource to site visit teams).
Prepare accreditation/candidacy decision action letters for assigned programs.
Provide staff support for Commission meetings, retreats, committees and task forces as related to job duties with a particular focus on generating data reports (e.g., for programs in the accreditation process, site visitor data) .
Provide professional staff support relative to the development of the site visitor database, site visitor pool, and site visitor training.
Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Executive Director

| Skills Required: |
Qualifications: A minimum of a Bachelors degree, substantial information technology experience, and high levels of proficiency in current web, information technologies and database management are essential. Solid oral and written communication skills are required. Superior organizational and analytical skills are required to handle the diverse work assignments associated with this position. The candidate must have the ability to work independently in developing reports for administrative staff and the Commission. The candidate must be bright, energetic, highly motivated, and able to work in a small fast paced office environment. Excellent (written and oral) communication skill; excellent analytic skills; attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in small office environment; some travel required.
Salary and Benefits: Starting salary in the low $60,000 range depending on credentials and experience. Benefits include paid vacation and health and retirement plans.
