Position would be assisting Nedved Dairy in organic management practices, along with gaining knowledge within the organic dairy industry. Daily activities include working with farm manager and applying practices such as:
• Tending to pasture upkeep
• Creating total mixed rations for livestock
• Helping with milking shifts.
• Cleaning out livestock facilities
• Maintaining herd health
• Learning organic health practices
• Artificial insemination and herd records
• Assisting with all seasons of organic field work
• Operating skid loaders, tractors, and other various farm machinery
