| Job Description: |
Purpose of Job
To perform Electrical Ex Rectification works and to ensure that all Electrical equipment in Hazardous areas are comply with the required EX certification on all surface facilities within the area of responsibility. To assist WOP/23 Production Support Engineer to execute and report Electrical rectification/maintenance activities carried out on the designated location assets, in particular with regard to meeting production reliability targets and improving asset integrity.
Principal accountabilities
- To manage and coordinate daily activities of Electrical Technician II and to do safety briefing (toolbox talks) before commencing of their daily work.
- To raise permit to work and to coordinate with WOP/114 admin for their field trip to field outstation.
- To make daily report in their logbook in Electrical Maintenance office which BSP WOP/113E Senior Electrical Technician and WOP/23 Production Support Engineer will review.
- To report to BSP WOP/113E Senior Electrical Technician on a daily basis and to seek support from them whenever required. BSP WOP/113E Senior Electrical Technician will then forward the request to WOP/23 Production Support Engineer for support.
- To make regular reporting via teleconference or face-to-face meetings with WOP/23 Production Support Engineer to update the progress of the project.
- To assist Electrical Technician II in doing rectification works and to ensure work is done in a safely manner.
- To ensure housekeeping is done after activity completed and/or before leaving manned/unmanned platform.
- To replace non-HAC compliant EX equipment with EX certified equipment such as fluorescent light fittings, emergency light fittings, cable glands, junction boxes, motors & pumps, Remote Control Units RCU, floodlights, marine lanterns, socket outlets, generators. Some activities will involve the replacement of cables as well.
- To do first aid painting on corroded Ex Equipment e.g. on motors and pumps.
- To reinstate the missing equipment Ids, cable Ids and equipment nameplates.
- To carry out activities as stated on the given work packs.

Skills Required:: |
Qualifications
Required
- Technical Certificate in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Able to speak and write good English.
Preferred
- Extensive supervisory experience in Oil & Gas industry.
- An AEP (Authorised Electrical Person) cat “B” or “A”
Competence Required
Experience
-At least 2-3 years hands-on experience in oil and gas industrial electrical maintenance
-Supervisory skills/ability to handle contractor subordinates
Training
- Electrical Safety Rules ESR
- PTW Worksite Supervisor§
- Basic First Aid course
- BOSIET
