Job Summary
To plan, direct, manage and oversee the activities and operations of our International client Information Technology and Communication Systems. The role involves key working relationships with all users of IT, IT Staff, IT Managers.
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for the reliability of IT/Communication networks and Key application software.
Develop Information Technology strategy in support of the company’s mission and core objectives.
Develop an annual business plan and operating budget for the department and monitor the implementation of these to ensure that the financial targets are met.
Direct the preparation and implementation of policies, procedures and standards relating to information and telecommunication systems.
Negotiate service level agreements with both internal and external customers and service providers and monitor service delivery to ensure the agreed targets and standards are met
Hardware and software inventory management.
Defines and seeks approval for the level of IT resources required to meet these goals and prioritizes and schedules major projects.
Recruit, direct and motivate the staff of the Information Technology department. Accountable for the management, mentoring and career development of all IT staff.
Responsible for researching and evaluating new technologies.
Direct, attend and participate in staff meetings and related activities; attend workshops to keep up to date with Information Technology issues
.
Qualification
Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or related field
Specific skills required
Proven senior IT Management experience
A proven track record of driving and defining complex IT strategy
Experience of managing multiple IT disciplines i.e. software development, technical support, systems architecture etc
A broad understanding of computer systems, applications and operating systems.
In depth experience of negotiating with and managing third party vendor agreements
Person Specification (Personality Attributes)
Experience and proven ability to lead, motivate and manage a multi-cultural team
Ability to take ownership of tasks assigned.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to run the department as successful profit centre
Experience
15+ years experience in a Senior IT Management role. Middle East experience will be a definite advantage.
