| Job Description: |
This contract is for a regular foreign teacher from 1 day Sep month 2008 year to 30 day June month 2009 year teaching in the School.
SECTION A. Responsibilities of the School
1. Arrange for the teacher to be welcomed at one of the following locations: the airport in Ningbo, train station in Ningbo, or bus station in Ningbo.
2. Provide reimbursement for travel from the airport in Shanghai to the city of Ningbo.
3. Provide reimbursement for international airfare, one way for half a year.
4. Provide free accommodation when the teacher arrives at the school. This accommodation will be a dormitory on campus with a shower, adequate furnishings, TV, telephone. Phone and electricity bills are at the cost of the user. Water bills are at the cost of the school.
5. 5650 yuan RMB(size of classes: no more than 55 students) monthly payment or 5250 yuan RMB(size of classes: no more than 30 studnets) will be provided as a stipend in cash on the 28th of each month while 200yuan RMB travel fee be provided each month. Summer and winter holidays discounted (if the contract duration is one year, full stipend is provided for winter holidays; for a half-year contract, no stipend is offered.) Extra 150yuan RMB is offered every month for food.
6. Provide a bicycle as a means of transportation.
7. Inform the teacher as to the schools expectations and policies when arrival. The foreign teacher will be informed when there are changes to the fixed schedule given.
8. Medical insurance is required and free medical services are provided by the clinic at the school.
9. The school will pay the fee for foreign expert card and the residence permit. Visa change and the cost of health certificate are at the cost of the foreign teacher. The school will assist the teacher in resolving everyday practical problems.
SECTION B. Responsibilities of the Teacher
1. Foreign teacher is preferred to come when the new semester begins in ….
2. Supply, in timely fashion, the documents required for obtaining a working visa.
3. Pay applicable visa fees for entrance into China.
4. Teaching 18 hours a week to the students of 7th-10th graders, (13-16 age group) faculty training class included in the week teaching hours. (One teaching hour is 45 minutes)
5. Do extra teaching if required by the school. (80yuan RMB per class is provided)
6. Inform the school by written form in advance if ask for private case leave. The salary will be deducted as the payment of the actual number of the lessons he/she gives (payment based on the number of lessons he gives). Private case leave shall not be more than three days in one term, and shall not be more than five days in one year. Any leave without authorization, or any leave without informing in advance will be regarded as absence by the school, and the salary will be deducted as RMB 600 yuan times actual number of days of absence.
7. The foreign teacher is expected to sit in a Chinese English teacher’s office at least once a week.
8. Do the class according to the advised teaching plan, and students’ performance in class need to be evaluated by the end of each term.
9. Arrive to work on time and obey the school’s daily schedule.
10. Prepare daily lessons and follow his/her tasks. Make a copy of the teaching schedule to the school every month.
11. Hold the English Corner once a week.
12. Assist to record the Listening Part for the Mid-term exams and the Final-term exams.
SECTION C. The terms of this agreement are effective from the date of signing. Both parties agree to the above conditions and to resolve and dispute based upon the above agreement.
