| Job Description: |
This offshore team lead will be responsible for coordinating offshore development, quality assurance and operations of the business partner’s SaaS application. This person should be familiar with software processes required to build high quality hosted enterprise applications on time. The position will also require excellent team management and project planning skills.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with USA based managers to understand product requirements.
Take requirements in the form of UI mockups or functional specifications, author design specs, and deliver working code that implements those designs.
Create detailed schedules for completion of work and communicate progress proactively.
Work with the USA based team to ensure clean interfaces between server and UI or 3rd party tools.
Ensure the design of robust and reusable UI or server components using object oriented programming.
Ensure delivery of scalable server software and highly interactive GUIs.
Use the version control and bug tracking tool effectively for managing parallel development and different versions of the product.
Participate in rapid prototyping of certain features.
Recruit and retain top talent. |
| Skills Required: |
Hands-on experience in developing rich web-based applications using Flex and/or Java.
Experience with test-driven development practices and testing frameworks.
Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
Very high technical competence and strong academic record.
BS in Computer Science preferred; MS/PhD a plus.
Expertise with a reporting tool such as Microstrategy is a strong plus.
Experience with an ETL tool such as Informatica is a strong plus.
Good written and verbal communication in English. |
