| Job Description: |
Our client, a prestigious architectural consultancy firm in the region, is looking for an Architect (Construction Supervision) for Dubai, UAE.
Responsibilities:
1. Ensure that construction operations are in compliance with architectural designs and specifications, and its on – schedule completion within budget and to quality standards
2. Coordinate with project manager and other engineering disciplines regarding any delays in production, scope changes or other events which could affect project’s timely completion
3. Review change order requests for additions, deletions or changes to the original scope of work
4. Review material / system submittals by the contractors for conformance with contract documents and to prepare report on findings
5. Review, evaluate and approve contractors’ schedules and prepare evaluation report highlighting potential shortcomings as applicable
6. Inspect the construction of temporary and permanent works to ensure compliance with the architectural documents
7. Check, comment and approve the method of statement and shop drawing submittals
8. Resolve the contractor’s technical issues without affecting the progress of the project
9. Ensure adherence to applicable codes, rules and regulations.

Skills Required:: |
Requirements:
• Western-educated Architecture graduate from a reputable university
• Minimum 10 years relevant experience, preferably with minimum 5 years experience in the Gulf region
• Should able to analyze technical / construction/ build – ability issue
• Should be AutoCAD competent and able to work on own initiative with minimum supervision, within a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience in a variety of buildings such as high rise towers, offices and mixed – use buildings
• Strong attention to details and ability to multitask on several projects
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with multi – discipline team
• Strong organization, time management and problem solving skills
