Procurement Manager – Abu Dhabi, UAE - Ref: 3927
A leading construction group based in Dubai, is going through a period of rapid growth and is extending its operations into Abu Dhabi. They wish to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced person in the position of Procurement Manager, to be based in the Area Office in Abu Dhabi.
Overall Mission: Reporting to the Area General Manager, the Procurement Manager will assume overall responsibility for Procurement of materials and services for all contracts and other departments and functions, while ensuring that most competitive terms considering the price, delivery and quality are achieved. Key Responsibilities will include the following:
1. Overall responsibility for all procurement for Sites and other departments.
2. Evaluate and negotiate major supply offers and finalise most competitive supplies.
3. Price negotiation with approved suppliers on repeat or long-term orders.
4. Ensuring correct approvals of Purchase Orders.
5. Follow-up and monitoring of long-lead and critical supplies.
6. Monitoring of stock held in central and site stores.
Qualifications and Experience – Graduate, with a minimum of 15 years experience primarily with civil engineering contractors and with a minimum of 5 years at this level. Previous experience of working in the UAE and familiarity with suppliers and service providers in the region would be a distinct advantage. Should also be experienced at sourcing internationally. Must be computer literate
Employment Terms - Unlimited duration contract on a single or family accompanied basis with basic salary paid monthly in UAE Dirhams (pegged to the US$).
