| Job Description: |
A new German-Swiss company plans to develop a food analytical laboratory in Xiamen, China. The laboratory will work as an independent laboratory for Chinese food export companies as well as for European importers checking on compliance of food products with EU law and buyers’ requirements.
The company is seeking a Food Analytical Chemist, with general and broad food laboratory experience, to assist in the practical start-up phase of the laboratory, hire personnel and bring the whole operation from basic testing (e.g. drained-weight of canned food) up to a full range of analytical services (e.g. LC-MS/MS of pesticides, animal drug residues, etc.)
This is as challenging a job as it is rewarding, and would suit a
person (male or female) with initiative and a sense of adventure.
The company will provide expertise and knowledge back-up from Europe, and one of the partners has a daughter company in Xiamen. Therefore, the person employed would also have local support in finding housing, dealing with official agencies, buying equipment, finding staff, etc |
