Do you have a strong clinical or laboratory background in the pharmaceutical or CRO industry and are looking to apply your skills and experience to business-related challenge?
We have a new opportunity for a Proposal Associate based in the Proposals group in our Manchester office. You will report to the Associate Director of Proposal Services who is responsible for global clinical pharmacology proposals, based in the UK. The job holder will be responsible for reviewing study protocols, synopses and design concepts and liaising with senior management both in the UK and the US in order to identify study strategy and quantify cost elements to develop budgets and proposals for new projects.
You will primarily work on early phase clinical pharmacology projects for the UK and US but, as part of the global proposal group, will also be involved in Regulatory and Phase IIa opportunities. There will also be scope to contribute to ICON-wide global proposals and initiatives.
Experience working in early phase drug development/clinical pharmacology in a clinical and/or laboratory capacity is essential as the role entails working closely with the scientific and business development groups to interpret ideas at the earliest stages of the planning and design process and present them as practical working projects to prospective clients.
In addition to this experience, successful candidates will hold a university degree or equivalent, preferably within the life sciences.
You will have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills with a high standard of spoken and written English, as writing of persuasive documents, as well as actively liaising with senior management and sponsors is required. You will have an analytical approach to problems and be comfortable generating and manipulating complex data. You will also be a competent and proficient user of the Microsoft Office package.
Remuneration for this role will be in the range £20,000 – £30,000, dependent on experience.
