| Job Description: |
The QA / QC- Manager assist the Site management in its responsibility for quality management and supports quality controls during on- site erection and commissioning activities of all site departments. His main duties and responsibilities are as follows:
Advising Site management (as well as Site managers of consortium members) in all areas of QA/QC issues:
Realization of agreed Quality Management System on site
Planning and performance of audits of consortium members and sub- contractors as well support for internal audits;
Tracking of deviations / nonconformance’s detected;
Administration of Corrective Action Reports (CAR) and Non Conformance Reports (NCR);
Monitoring and advising sub contractors and consortium members for compliance with quality management systems requirements; (Quality controls shall be carried out corresponding with released project specific field quality plans as well as dates for execution given by the relevant site managers). One area of emphasis shall be the performance and inspection of welds.
Ensure information and experience feedback covering the QA / QC scope of responsibility;
Reporting on QA / QC activities within the framework of weekly / monthly reporting by site management.
Monitoring performance of weld inspections and nondestructive examinations corresponding with released project specific field quality plans, and performance of further QC activities coordinated and agreed with Overall Site Management. Ensuring compliance with the requirements, regulations and procedures governing occupational health & safety and environmental protection within the own scope of responsibility.
Coordinating and driving compilation of technical site documentation acc. to instruction given by project management
Coordinating and monitoring document controlling of design documentation at the project site as well as setup and management of a site archive.
Maintaining direct contact with the customer’s designated representative at the project site for the purpose of achieving immediate and non-bureaucratic clarification of general on- site problems of quality management.
Coordination of consortium members at the project site with respect to QA / QC
Cooperation with third party organizations in acceptance testing.
In order to carry out aforementioned job the following education / experience is required in the main:

| Skills Required: |
Trained as a mechanical engineer
Experience in the use of communication channels (notebook, e-mail etc.)
Welding specialist [carbon steel to high alloy steel (i.E. P91)]
Experience for the application of NDE
Capable to evaluate X-ray films
Knowledge of EN, ASTM, ASME Code, etc.
Familiar with the English language |
