Our client is a profitable and growing international auto parts manufacturer. TPA has been asked to locate a well experience Project/Process Engineer to fulfill a new role within this organization. The ideal candidate has experience with robotic weld cells and will have successfully accomplished the launch of new product lines in an auto parts facility.
Qualifications:
· Four (4) year technical degree
· 5 - 10 years experience working for an automotive supplier involved in a program launch
· 2+ years technical experience with metal forming, welding and assembly
· Strong process planning skills for assembly lines with welding, fixtures and gauging.
· Excellent understanding of PPAP, PSO, SPC, Gauges, GD&T, FMEA, APQP, 8D and problem solving with demonstrated hands on applications.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Knowledge of CAD software with AutoCAD being the preference
· Knowledge and understanding of MOST and how to use it for process studies
· The ability to interact with employees, customers and suppliers and portray a positive company image
· Highly proficient in Microsoft Office |
